Our Services

Our mission is to empower young adults to successfully transition from foster care into independent living with stability and self-reliance. By equipping youth with practical skills and emotional support, we aim to help them build a brighter future and achieve their academic and career aspirations.

  • Our therapeutic services provide group and individual behavioral counseling on-site, facilitated by licensed professionals such as MSW/MS, LPC, ACSW, LCSW, or LMFT. Through these sessions, youth will enhance their communication, problem-solving, coping, and listening skills while establishing healthy boundaries and improving social and relationship skills.

  • We will offer classes led by a Resource Specialist who works with youth on resume building, money management, filing taxes, setting up bank accounts, check writing, cooking, and cleaning, among other skills.

  • We will support youth living independently while fostering a sense of belonging and community. With dedicated on-site staff available Monday through Friday and a 24-hour on-call Social Worker, we ensure that assistance is always accessible. Our intent is to equip young individuals to thrive in a safe and supportive environment, promoting personal growth and social engagement.

  • We supply youth with the chance to improve job readiness and gain valuable skills through hands-on experience. Partnering with Workforce Connection in Fresno and local businesses in Fowler, we offer training and support to help build confidence and navigate the job market. Whether youth are entering the workforce or looking to enhance employability, our services are designed to support for success.

  • We are dedicated to delivering access and resources for future students pursuing higher education and vocational training by offering guidance for navigating college applications, financial aid, and trade school enrollment. Youth at Golden Rose-Fowler will achieve academic and career aspirations through a variety of local options, including community colleges such as Reedley City College, Fresno City College, and Fresno State University, as well as trade schools like Fresno Adult School.

  • Free transportation is available for youth to colleges, trade schools, places of employment, medical, dental, and vision appointments, WIC, food banks, Workforce Connections, and Grocery stores. If a youth needs transportation to a location not listed, a request can be made to one of Golden Rose-Fowler’s staff members.
